Emphatic With Do/Does/Did
Emphatic का अर्थ है ‘जोरदार‘ । मुख्य क्रिया के पहले do/does/did का प्रयोग कर कुछ वाक्यों को emphatic बनाया जाता है।
Rule (1) :- यदि वाक्य में प्रयुक्त क्रिया Simple Present Tense में हो, तो do/does का प्रयोग करें; यदि प्रयुक्त क्रिया Simple Past Tense में हो, तो did का प्रयोग करें। एक बात ध्यान रखें कि do/does/did के बाद हमेशा V¹ ही प्रयुक्त होगा। जैसे –
1. I know her.
→ I do know her.
2. We help you.
→ We do help you.
3. He eats meat.
→ He does eat meat.
4. Ram plays tennis.
→ Ram does play tennis.
5. I went there.
→ I did go there.
6. He went fishing.
→ He did go fishing.
7. He wanted to go.
→ He did want to go.
8. He heard the news.
→ He did hear the news.
Rule (2) :- यदि वाक्य में have/has/had का प्रयोग मुख्य क्रिया के रूप में हो, तो emphatic बनाने के लिए do have/does have/did have का प्रयोग करें। ध्यान रखें कि do/does/did के बाद have का प्रयोग होगा, has/had का नहीं। जैसे –
1. I have a car.
→ I do have a car.
2. She has a radio.
→ She does have a radio.
3. She had a cow.
→ She did have a cow.
Rule (3) :- Imperative Sentence को emphatic बनाने के लिए Verb के पहले Do का प्रयोग करें। यहाँ ध्यान रखें कि does/did का प्रयोग Imperative Sentenc के Verb के पहले कभी नहीं होगा। जैसे –
1. Come tomorrow.
→ Do come tomorrow.
2. Write me a letter soon.
→ Do write me a letter soon.
3. Come in.
→ Do come in.
4. Please help her.
→ Please do help her.
5. Please have a cup of tea.
→ Please do have a cup of te
6. Have a rest now.
→ Do have a rest now.
7. Have patience.
→ Do have patience.
Note :- ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में do/does/did का प्रयोग वाक्य को जोरदार बनाने के लिए किया गया है। ऐसे वाक्यों में do/does/did का अनुवाद होता है – जरूर/अवश्य। जैसे –
1. I do go there. → मैं वहाँ अवश्य/जरूर जाता हूँ। / मैं वहाँ जाता तो हूँ।
2. She does love me. → वह मुझे अवश्य/जरूर प्यार करती है। / वह मुझे प्यार करती तो है।
3. He did help you. → उसने अवश्य/जरूर तुम्हारी मदद की। / उसने तुम्हारी मदद की तो थी।
4. I did write to him. → मैंने उसे अवश्य/जरूर लिखा था। / मैंने उसे लिखा तो था।
5. He does have peace. → उसे शांति अवश्य/जरूर है। / उसे शांति तो है।
6. Please do help me. → कृपया मेरी मदद अवश्य/जरूर करें।
From Emphatic to Non-emphatic
• Emphatic Sentence को Non-emphatic बनाने के लिए वाक्य में प्रयुक्त do/does/did को हटा दें और Subject के Number तथा Verb के Tense के अनुसार आवश्यक परिवर्तन करें। Emphatic Imperative को Non-emphatic बनाने के लिए सिर्फ do को हटा दें। जैसे –
1. I do help you.
→ I help you.
2. She does know me.
→ She knows me.
3. She did buy the book.
→ She bought the book.
4. I do have a caг.
→ I have a car.
5. She does have love for me.
→ She has love for me.
6. Do tell me a story.
→ Tell me a story.
7. Please do come tomorrow.
→ Please come tomorrow.
