Answer :– The man was not content, because he was greedy and desirous of adding more money and gold to his assets. (वह आदमी संतुष्ट नहीं था, क्योंकि वह लालची था और अपनी संपत्ति में और अधिक पैसा और सोना जोड़ने का इच्छुक था।)

Answer :– The man prayed to a wish yielding tree, ‘Kalpaka’ morning, noon and evening and then the gift was given by the tree. (उस व्यक्ति ने सुबह, दोपहर और शाम को इच्छा फल देने वाले वृक्ष ‘कल्पक’ की प्रार्थना की और फिर पेड़ ने उसे उपहार दिया।)

Answer :– The tree was called unkind because it gave the rich man the eighth pot which was half full. He lost his life in trying to fill it with gold coins. (पेड़ को निर्दयी कहा जाता था क्योंकि उसने अमीर आदमी को आठवां घड़ा दिया था जो आधा भरा हुआ था। इसे सोने के सिक्कों से भरने की कोशिश में उसने अपनी जान गंवा दी।)

Answer :– He was given seven pots so that his greed may be satisfied and quenched. (उसे सात घड़े दिये गये ताकि उसका लालच शांत हो सके।)
Q6) What does the name “Kalpaka” evoke? What light does it throw on the character of the person. (“कल्पक” नाम से क्या तात्पर्य है? यह व्यक्ति के चरित्र पर क्या प्रकाश डालता है।)
Answer :– ‘Kalpaka’ is a Tamil word means god, that has enough power to produce anything. A god should be generous and so it was. The man demanded only one pot of gold, and the tree gave him seven pots. Even an eight pot was also given, though it was half-filled. In this way we can say that the title is apt. (‘कल्पक’ एक तमिल शब्द है जिसका अर्थ है भगवान, जिसमें कुछ भी उत्पन्न करने की पर्याप्त शक्ति है। भगवान को उदार होना चाहिए और वह वैसा ही था। एक आदमी ने केवल एक घड़ा सोने की माँग की, और पेड़ ने उसे सात घड़े दे दिए। यहां तक कि एक आठवाँ घड़ा भी दिया, हालांकि वह आधा भरा हुआ था। इस प्रकार हम कह सकते हैं कि शीर्षक उपयुक्त है।)
